Job Title                   : Procurement Specialist

Reports to               : Procurement Manager

 

JOB SUMMARY

To coordinate, monitor and execute operational procurement work within established frameworks and policies.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Matric
  • National Diploma: Supply Chain Management / Procurement

Minimum Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Procurement / Supply Chain
  • Administration and organizational skills
  • Project Management
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • SAP experience is essential (Procurement MM) module

DELIVERABLES

  • Ensure the supply to site is done with the shortest possible lead time, using best quality, best price and best practice.
  • Coordinate the forecasting and planning for anticipated consumption / needs to ensure adequate, on-time and cost-effective availability on goods.
  • Manage and maintain CHG’s supplier database in collaboration with cross functional team members
  • Assist in the facilitation of compliance audits.
  • Identify and manage problems, escalated issues and operational risks.
  • Build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively manager supplier queries.
  • Comply with cost controls to achieve section budget.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, work standards, and governance requirements.
  • Analyse information and reports to identify trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Ensure security and integrity pertaining to all procurement procedures.
  • Ensure allocated hospitals manage and adhere to procurement procedures and standards.
  • Identify innovative ways to improve business practices, processes and synergies to save costs, increase efficiencies and improve service delivery.
  • Effectively manage communications with contractors, suppliers and partners.
  • Implement governance, compliance, integrity and ethics processes to identify and manage risks and expose liabilities.
